He was also appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the MDL arising from off-label promotion of Neurontin, In re Neurontin Marketing and Sales Practices, and was elected its Chairman.

Greene LLP has represented clients injured by dangerous and defective products. Our attorneys handle cases involving products ranging from an ordinary ladder to specialized industrial equipment. Many of our cases involve complex mechanical systems such as motor vehicles, escalators, elevators and cranes.

We have over 25 years of experience handling products liability cases such as:

  • Defectively designed scaffolding that caused multiple organ damage
  • The defective window retention system in a bus that caused the ejection and death of a student
  • A defective “mini-spare” tire that caused a young mother’s death
  • A commercial furnace explosion that resulted in a factory worker receiving third-degree burns
  • The faulty manufacture of a die-cast machine that subsequently blinded its operator in an explosion

Due to our extensive handling of these cases, our Boston lawyers have access to experts who will testify on your behalf in products liability matters. Our lawyers also have the understanding of industry standards to cross-examine defense experts on the stand. Because of our knowledge of Massachusetts’ court processes, we know how to leverage the courts to obtain maximum verdicts or settlements.

Greene LLP is a complex civil litigation firm representing plaintiffs on a contingency basis. The firm specializes in False Claims Act litigation, representing private whistleblowers in qui tam suits on behalf of the government. Greene LLP has handled a variety of False Claims Act cases, including defense contractor and pharmaceutical fraud.

Greene LLP is nationally recognized for innovative legal theories and cutting edge discovery practices. Greene LLP attorneys were the first to successfully argue that off-label promotion of drugs can cause false claims under the False Claims Act, in a seminal lawsuit against Pfizer settled in 2004. The settlement, totaling $430 in civil fines and criminal penalties, was the largest award in a False Claims Act case in which the government declined to intervene. Since that settlement, the government has recovered over $10 billion under Greene LLP’s novel theory.

Greene LLP attorneys are also skilled in trial settings, winning a $142 million jury verdict from Pfizer for violation of RICO in 2010.
